A 10-year-old girl had to be stretchered off a hillside in the south of Scotland after suffering a leg injury.
Moffat Mountain Rescue Team was called out to Criffel, near New Abbey, at about 12:40 on Thursday.
Ten members of the team responded along with the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The girl was taken on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance and on to hospital for treatment. Her family was also walked safely off the hill.
The rescue team said it was clear once they reached the family that the girl would not be able to make her own way off the hill.
"Once team members arrived at the casualty's location they were able to assess them and determine a stretcher would be needed to extract them safely due to a lower leg injury," it said in a statement.
"The team were able to provide pain relief and splint the affected limb before packaging them into a casualty bag and stretcher.
"A back rope was then used to support the stretcher as they were carried from the hillside. The casualty's family were also walked safely off the hill."
Criffel rises to about 570m (1,900ft) and is a popular spot for walkers in the area.
