A man has been arrested after reports of a stabbing in Frensham, according to Surrey Police.

Officers were called to an address in Peakfield on Monday at around 14:30 BST.

Armed and regular police attended the scene, along with personnel from South East Coast Ambulance Service.

A 32-year-old man from Frensham was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He is currently in custody, police said.

A 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and also remains in custody.

A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with serious arm injuries, said officers.

Police said their "subsequent enquiries" found a second woman in her 50s at the address had also suffered injuries.

She was taken to hospital for treatment.
