Teens charged over Westfield furniture throwing

Two boys from Hackney aged 14 and 16 have been charged with criminal damage with intent to endanger life following an incident in Westfield shopping centre in March.
They were arrested following reports of furniture being thrown from the top level of the shopping centre in Stratford on 1 March.
The pair, who cannot be named because of their ages, will appear at Stratford Youth Court on 6 May.
Footage circulated online showed a person launching a seat over a barrier at the shopping centre, narrowly missing bystanders as it plunged down two storeys and onto the ground.
