Three taken to hospital after serious crash

A serious crash on an A-road in Somerset saw three people taken to hospital, with one person in a life-threatening condition.

The collision was reported on the A38 near Biddisham at about 22:00 BST on Saturday. The road was closed until 10:00.

The crash involved a grey Seat Leon, a red Isuzu D-max and a black Audi A4, Avon and Somerset Police said.

The force is investigating what happened and wants to hear from witnesses, including anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and might have dashcam footage.

Two passengers from one car were taken to hospital with serious injuries and one remains in a life-threatening condition, police said.

The driver of another car was also taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver and a passenger in the third vehicle had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
