A second person has died following a four-vehicle crash on a major road.

Thames Valley Police said the collision between a grey Audi A3, a grey Jaguar XE, a black Ford Puma and a grey Seat Leon happened on the A44 near Enstone, Oxfordshire, on 9 July at about 15:20 BST.

The Ford driver, 85, died at the scene. His passenger, a woman in her 70s, sustained life-threatening injuries and has now died, the force said.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 60s, remains in a serious condition, it added.

The woman's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Police said the Jaguar driver suffered minor injuries and the driver of the Seat was uninjured.

No arrests have been made in connection with the crash, Thames Valley Police confirmed.

Det Sgt Lyndsey Blackaby appealed again for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
