Two men are being treated in hospital with stab wounds following an incident in Luton.

Bedfordshire Police was first called to reports of an injured man at Sainsbury's on Dunstable Road, at about 16:30 GMT on Wednesday.

A second call, 15 minutes later, reported another wounded man at nearby Brantwood Road.

The men remain in hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, the force added. Witnesses or those with information have been asked to contact officers.

Det Insp Kim Caddy, said: "This violence has seen two people seriously injured, but it also spreads fear and has a lasting impact on the wider community.

"We remain committed to ensuring that those who arm themselves with knives and resort to violence will be held accountable for the harm they cause."
