A 77-year-old woman has been charged over what police described as a "racially aggravated" attack.

West Mercia Police said Carol Roberts, of Guildford Close, Worcester, had been charged with four counts of assault, one count of racially/religiously aggravated common assault and one count of harassment without violence.

It comes after a man and a child suffered minor irritation injuries after being sprayed with an unknown substance at Guildford Close at about 18:00 BST on 8 October. The force added the charges related to incidents between 7 and 9 October.

Ms Roberts is due to appear at Worcester Magistrates' Court on 28 October.
