A woman has been charged with seven counts of criminal damage, including to a regional TV transmission mast.

Martha Goddard, 49, of Earlham in Norwich, has been charged following an investigation led by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU).

The seven charges of criminal damage include damaging sections of the Tacolneston transmission mast in Norfolk and damage to the metal security fence at the station.

Appearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court, she was remanded and is next due to appear at the Old Bailey in London on 31 October.

The transmission station in Tacolneston broadcasts national television and radio services across eastern England.

The charges relate to several incidents between March and September, including damaging a glass window at the Millennium Library in Norwich, and damaging a glass window at a McDonald's and the doors of a Starbucks, both in Haymarket in Norwich city centre.
