Trial date set for woman accused of stab murder

A trial date has been set for a woman accused of stabbing a woman to death.

Patricia Hewitt, 41, is accused of murdering 56-year-old Angela Lloyd at an address on Bakewell Place in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, on 13 August.

Ms Hewitt, formerly of Keats Close, Stanley, did not enter any pleas when she appeared at Teesside Crown Court and was remanded into custody.

A trial date was set for 9 February with prosecutors estimating it could last between five and seven days.
