Beach cafe 'shell-shocked' at Dua Lipa visit

Cafe owner Ben Jordan said Dua Lipa visited his business multiple times while she was in the area

Staff at a cafe in Cornwall said they were left "a bit shell-shocked" after pop star Dua Lipa popped in for a coffee.

The Levitating singer visited Jordan's, which overlooks Marazion Beach and St Michael's Mount, multiple times last month, said owner Ben Jordan.

"It's not everyday a global superstar comes in the cafe," he said.

"We were all just a bit shell-shocked about it."

The singer, who had her first-ever headline slot at Glastonbury in June, posted a short video on Instagram in front of St Michael's Mount with a cup of coffee from Mr Jordan's shop.

Mr Jordan said staff initially did not believe it was the singer.

"It was a bit random," he said.

"She was in the day before getting a coffee and my daughter said it looked like Dua Lipa but, obviously, why would Dua Lipa be down in Cornwall buying a coffee in our cafe?

"So she kind of discounted it until she came in again and she recognised her tattoos after a Google search and that is how we knew."

Jordan's has been in business since 1984 and has been passed down by the current owner's parents.

He now runs the cafe with his sister Louisa Jordan.
