Police have seized an estimated £300,000 worth of suspected cocaine in west Belfast.

The discovery was made during searches at a house in Glenalina Park on Thursday.

Det Insp Miskelly said detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) carried out the search as part of an ongoing investigation, and that they also seized "other drugs paraphernalia, deal bags and scales".

"The illegal importation and supply of Class A drugs causes significant harm to our communities and we will continue to target anyone involved in this criminality," she added.

No arrests have been made and police are continuing their investigations.
