Man dies after being found injured on street

Officers were called to Steel Street in Gourock and the man was pronounced dead

A man has died after he was found injured on a street in Inverclyde.

Police were called to Steel Street in Gourock at about 03:45.

A force spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained."

Officers are investigating the death and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
