Pedestrian dies in hospital after being hit by car

A pedestrian has died in hospital more than a week after being hit by a car as he crossed the road in Sheffield city centre.

The 36-year-old man was struck by a red Lexus in Suffolk Road at the junction with Granville Road at about 19:25 GMT on 29 November.

South Yorkshire Police said the man was taken to hospital, where he had since died as a result of his injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or those with dashcam footage of what happened have been asked to contact the force.
