Straw bales block A-road at rush hour after accident

A dual carriageway was closed in one direction due to an accident which left straw bales debris blocking the road.

Police were called to the A14 westbound carriageway between junction 39 (Kentford) and junction 38 (Red Lodge/Newmarket) in Suffolk at about 06:00 BST.

In its social media updates, external, National Highways said its crews worked to remove the shed crop/

A diversion was put in place via local roads through Kentford and Newmarket before the road reopened at 09:00.
