Second boy charged over Gants Hill restaurant fire

A second 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following a suspected arson attack on an east London restaurant.
Six people - three men and three women - were injured after flames ripped through Indian Aroma on Woodford Avenue, Gants Hill, at about 21:00 BST on 22 August. Two of them remain in hospital with life-changing injuries, the Met Police said.
The teenager is due to appear at Barkingside Juvenile Court charged with six counts of attempted murder, arson with intent to endanger life and possession of an offensive weapon.
Another 16-year-old boy was previously charged with attempted murder.
He was remanded to a youth detention centre and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 6 October.
Two other 16-year-old boys and a 54-year-old man previously arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life were released on bail.
