Dairy firm Müller given permission to expand site

The development will mean the expansion of an existing building and a new storage silo

The dairy firm Müller has been given permission to invest in its production facilities at Market Drayton.
Shropshire Council described the company as a "major employer" and said the move "demonstrated its commitment to the county".
Müller will be allowed to convert an existing building, which was used for the handling and packaging of frozen fruit, to produce consumable goods.
In its planning application the company said it expected eight new jobs to be created.
Stuart Ellison, head of engineering operations at Müller Yogurt and Desserts, said the company was "dedicated to supporting the local Shropshire community and investing in our existing sites".
Shropshire Council said the development was a "significant investment".
Müller opened its production site in Market Drayton in 1992 and it is now the company's headquarters for Müller Yogurt and Desserts.
It also has sites in Shropshire in Minsterley and Telford.
