Driver, 83, killed after two-car crash

Police said the crash happened on the B6165 west of Ripley

An 83-year-old driver has died after two cars crashed in North Yorkshire.

The man was driving an Audi SUV when it was in collision with a Ford Fiesta on the B6165 west of Ripley at about 19:20 BST on Thursday.

The Audi driver and the 34-year-old man driving the Fiesta, who were both from Harrogate, were taken to hospital.

Police said the Audi driver later died and have appealed for anyone with relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
