New water pipeline to be built at borehole pump
- Published
Work to install a new water pipeline in a Shropshire village as part of a scheme to improve a borehole pumping station is set to start.
Severn Trent is spending £404,000 in improving its station at The Moors, in Diddlebury, near Craven Arms.
A new pipeline will be installed within the adjoining field, running from the treatment works to the local water course, which runs alongside Mill Lane.
Work will start on Monday and is set to be completed by mid-April.
The water company said the pipeline would enable it to move rainwater from the treatment works to the local brook.
A structure will also be built to protect the bank of the brook.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said residents would see an increase in large vehicles entering the site during the work.
They added no water would be moved to the brook during flooding.
"We're really sorry about any noise or nuisance we cause during this essential work, the teams will be working as quickly as possible," they said.
