A pedestrian suffered serious head and facial injuries after being hit by what police believe was an e-bike.

The man, aged in his fifties, was struck by the vehicle as it was being ridden along Slipper Lane in Mirfield at about 13:15 GMT on 20 January.

The rider, who is believed to have gone towards Leeds Road after the collision, failed to stop at the scene, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
