Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital after the incident on Haybridge Avenue in Hadley, Telford, at about 14:30 BST on Monday.

He suffered serious injuries but they were not believed to be life threatening, West Mercia Police said.

The pair who were arrested – a 22-year-old man and a woman of 48 – remain in custody for questioning.

Det Insp Paul Drury, from Telford CID, said officers were continuing to make inquiries and urged anyone with information to come forward.
