Pop star Robbie Williams is to perform in Wolverhampton as part of his new tour next year.

"We're excited to announce that global superstar Robbie Williams will perform at University of Wolverhampton at The Civic Hall on 9 February 2026," the city venue announced.

He takes in the city on his Long 90's tour and will perform all songs from Life Thru A Lens and new album Britpop, it added. The tour kicks off in Glasgow on 4 February.

The singer and songwriter had told BBC Radio 1 he moved the album's original release date to next year to avoid a class with Taylor Swift's Life of a Showgirl.

Williams said he was determined to claim a record 16th UK number one album with Britpop, which is released on 6 February. He is currently tied with The Beatles on 15.

The Civic told fans to "stay tuned" for ticket details for the gig, three days after the new release date.

"It's an alternative reality that I step into when I think about my career and I think about that particular record," Williams said.

"But I'll take it. Don't get me wrong. I'm really competitive too, which is why I moved the album."

He told Radio 1 of his tour, which includes Liverpool Olympia and O2 Brixton Academy: "It's a few smaller gigs for me, out of choice."
