Three paramedics have been injured after an ambulance crashed while it was responding to an emergency call.
The North West Ambulance Service vehicle was on blue lights when it was involved in a crash on Eardswick Lane in Crewe, Cheshire, at about 20:30 GMT on Friday.
No other vehicle was involved and the injured staff members were taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital, Cheshire Police confirmed.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said there was no patient on board at the time of the incident.
"Our immediate priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues and we are in close contact with their families to offer support," they added.
"A full investigation into the circumstances of the incident is now under way and we are co-operating fully with the relevant authorities."
Police said officers were appealing for any witnesses or anyone who had video footage that could help the investigation to get in touch.
