Murder charge after woman found dead in canal

A man has been charged with murder and a woman with assisting an offender, after a woman was found dead in a canal.
The woman's body was found in the water near Ryders Green Road, West Bromwich, on Tuesday and three people were arrested in connection with her death.
John Anslow, 64, from West Bromwich, has been charged with murder and preventing a lawful and decent burial.
Hayley-Marie Ferguson, 41, also from West Bromwich, has been charged with assisting an offender and preventing a lawful and decent burial. The third person arrested, a man in his 20s, has been released with no further action.
Mr Anslow and Ms Ferguson were due to appear at Worcester Magistrates' Court on Thursday morning.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said the force believed they had identified the dead woman and specialist officers were supporting her family.
