Stolen jewellery worth £10,000 recovered by police

The items were reported stolen on 26 December from a residential property in Tonbridge

Stolen jewellery worth about £10,000 has been recovered from a second-hand goods store in a Kent town.

The items, which included earrings and a necklace, were reported stolen on Boxing Day from a residential property in Tonbridge.

Enquiries by Kent Police led to the possessions being located at a second-hand store on the town's High Street.

On 30 December, a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and fraud by false representation. She has been bailed with conditions to return to a police station on 29 March.
