Pedestrian, 82, struck by motorbike seriously hurt

A pedestrian has been left with serious injuries after he was struck by a motorbike as he crossed the road.

The 82-year-old was on the zebra crossing at Victoria Road West at the junction of Daisy Bank, in Thornton Cleveleys, at about 19:30 GMT on Monday.

He was taken to hospital where he remains, Lancashire Police said.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries and "will be spoken to at a later date", police said. They have appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
