A technical fault with Freeview transmitters in the Kendal area has been affecting services, including the BBC's regional TV news bulletins.
There will be a fix carried out overnight and normal services are expected to resume on Friday.
People can keep up to date with local news by listening to Radio Cumbria AM, FM, DAB and BBC Sounds, watching via BBC iPlayer or visit BBC Cumbria.
Further information can be found at the BBC reception information page.
Viewers who receive Freeview signals from the Kendal, Millthrop, Coniston, Sedbergh and Windermere areas are affected.
There has also been an impact on ITV Granada (Borders).
