Manx residents have been given the chance to share their views on ferry services to inform the operator's future strategy.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's launched the online survey on Monday to gather feedback on service quality, customer satisfaction, reliability of sailings, and overall travel experience.

Issues covered also include convenience of the firm's current sailing times and routes, and what developments they would like to see.

The one-week survey, which has already attracted 1,000 responses, is open until 2 September.

The Steam Packet is government-owned but run at arms length by a board of directors.

'Future investments'

A spokesman for the company said the firm aimed "to align its future strategy with the needs and expectations of the local community as far as possible".

The survey was an opportunity to have a "direct impact" on the provider's services and would ensure the company "continues to meet the needs of the Isle of Man community", he said.

The online survey was "built off the outcomes" of focus group sessions that ran in July, and it was expected that some of the insights would be used to make improvements from 2025, he continued.

The views would be used to make "informed decisions" and ensure that "future investments and changes are made with the best interests of the island in mind" while remaining "attractive to visitors".
