A crash involving a bus and two cars led to major tailbacks on the M54 motorway near Wolverhampton.

Drivers were advised to use a different route, after the crash on the eastbound carriageway, between junction 3 at Albrighton and junction 2 at Wolverhampton.

As a result traffic was left at a standstill, with commuters on social media complaining about long queues.

National Highways had warned of delays of up to 30 minutes, with two miles of stationary traffic expected, but the road had been reopened by 08:20 GMT.
