Cyclist, 19, suffers serious head injury in crash

A teenage cyclist has suffered a life-threatening head injury following a crash on a Cornwall road.

The 19-year-old man was hurt on an unclassified road at Poley's Bridge near St Breward on Wednesday at about 18:40 BST.

He was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by the Cornwall Air Ambulance helicopter.

Police are investigating and have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage to contact the force.
