Buses had to negotiate a partially flooded park-and-ride site after workmen drilled through a water main causing "significant flooding", a water company said.
The Milton park-and-ride site north of Cambridge was flooded on Thursday during work in Butt Lane, off the busy A10.
Cambridgeshire County Council said the situation was "being monitored" and there was "minimal impact to buses".
Cambridge Water said the Butt Lane entrance to the park-and-ride was closed, with a diversion in place, and it would be working overnight and through the weekend to repair the damage.
Photographs and video posted on a village Facebook group on Thursday showed a double-decker bus gingerly manoeuvring towards the site exit, and a van travelling through the water.

Traffic was allowed to drive through carefully on Thursday
A county council spokesperson said: "Contractors were carrying out work on Butt Lane and have drilled through a water main causing the flooding.
"There has been minimal impact to buses and some cars are being allowed through.
"The situation is being monitored, and work is ongoing to resolve the issue."
The council said its Household Recycling Centre on Butt Lane, close to the park-and-ride site, was still open.
"The park-and-ride buses will operate as normal, but the new Tiger 2 bus service will not be able to serve Butt Lane," the council spokesperson added.
A spokesperson for Cambridge Water said: "We were notified that a contractor had damaged one of our large water mains on Butt Lane, in Milton, causing significant flooding.
"As soon as the issue was raised, our team isolated the main and restored water to nearby properties that were affected.
"A closure is now in place on Butt Lane, and a diversion has been set up to get to the park-and-ride. Anyone using the park-and-ride is still able to exit as normal.
"Our repair team are on site and will be working through the night and over the weekend to replace the main and reinstate the road."
