A motorcyclist in his 70s has been seriously injured in a collision at Boyton near Launceston, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the collision took place on Saturday and emergency services were called just after 14:00 BST.

They said the man had sustained life-changing injuries and he was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by air ambulance.

Police said the collision on the B3254 involved a red Honda motorcycle and officers from the Roads Policing Team closed the road for five hours for investigative work at the scene.

They appealed for anyone with any relevant information, including dashcam footage, to come forward.
