Body found in search for missing Kilmarnock woman

Michelle Wade had not been been since 25 July

A body has been found in the search for missing Kilmarnock woman Michelle Wade.

Police made the discovery around 05:00 in the Dean Park area of the town.

Formal identification is still to take place, but Ms Wade's family have been informed.

The force said the death was being treated as unexplained and inquiries remain ongoing.

The 36-year-old was last seen in the town's North Hamilton Street area about 20:15 on Friday 25 July.

On Sunday police issued an appeal for information, saying her disappearance was out of character.
