A search is underway for a teenage boy reported missing in the water at Anderby Creek in Lincolnshire.

HM Coastguard said it was coordinating the search, which began at 14:00 BST, involving a helicopter, a plane and rescue teams from Mablethorpe, Skegness and Wrangle.

RNLI lifeboats from Mablethorpe and Skegness have also responded.

Lincolnshire Police said the boy's family were being supported by specially-trained officers.

The force said emergency services were still at the beach on Saturday evening.

Officers thanked people in the area for allowing the emergency services to carry out their work.
