Police have renewed an appeal to trace a 29-year-old man who is wanted in connection with a teenager's murder.

Emmanuel Nyabako, 19, was stabbed multiple times and hit in the face with a machete by a gang on Francis Street in the Chapeltown area of Leeds, on 26 August 2023.

Emile Riggon, Jozeffi Jeffers and Phillip Bryant were all jailed the following August for a minimum term of 27 years for the killing.

However, West Yorkshire Police said officers were still seeking Louis Grant, also known as Louis O'Brien, in connection with the case.

Mr Grant previously lived in Sheffield, according to officers.

Temp Det Supt Damian Roebuck said: "A year on, people's loyalties may have changed.

"I would urge anyone who has any information about where Grant may be or his movements over the past year to please report it.

"A young man was murdered, a family ripped apart and while a suspect remains outstanding for this offence it is hard to provide Emmanuel's family with any closure on this chapter of their grief."

During the sentencing hearing last year, Leeds Crown Court heard how Mr Nyabako and a 16-year-old boy had been chased by a group after he had fired gunshots at Bryant's car.

While the younger teenager was able to escape, Mr Nyabako was cornered and attacked, before being stripped and dragged naked into a road.
