Sinfield urged to keep fundraising by Burrow's dad

Kevin Sinfield has vowed to “go again” ahead of his latest fundraising challenge for motor-neurone disease (MND) – the first in the wake of former teammate Rob Burrow’s death.
The Leeds Rhinos rugby league legend confirmed he plans to run 31 miles (50km) each day for a week in honour of Burrow, who died in June five years after being diagnosed with MND.
Sinfield, who alongside Burrow has raised £8m for MND charities since 2019, revealed Burrow's dad, Geoff, had messaged him urging him to carry on with the challenge, which was first announced in May.
The theme is "Running Home for Christmas" and Sinfield will start in Liverpool on 1 December and end in Manchester seven days later.
The route will take Sinfield to Wrexham, Gloucester, Bristol, Belfast, Stirling, Glasgow, Hull, Northampton - where MND is based - Leicester and finally, Manchester.
Alongside his team, he will attempt to race against the clock and complete each days' distance in 4.3 miles (7km) blocks which will start on the hour, every hour.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, while talking about a new children's book about friendship he co-wrote with Burrow, Sinfield said: "We go again in December.
"I haven't shared this with many people but after Rob passed the first message his dad, Geoff, sent to me was 'Please continue in December'. So we go again."
The gruelling 31-mile runs will come exactly a year after Mr Sinfield completed the 7 in 7 in 7 Challenge, where he ran an ultra-marathon every day for seven days in seven cities in December 2023.
The number seven is a recurring theme in reference to the number 7 shirt Burow wore throughout his career.
