Police have started an investigation after a man was found dead inside his property.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) said it was called to Ray Street in Maidenhead, Berkshire, on Monday, where the 65-year-old had been found.

Det Ch Insp Quoc Vo said the death was being treated as "unexplained".

The force has asked people to come forward if they saw the man, who was a leg amputee and used a red or burgundy mobility scooter, on Sunday.

TVP said the investigation was in its early stages and asked anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of the man to come forward.

"If any member of the public has any concern or wish to flag something to officers, please don't hesitate to speak to any of them at the scene," said Det Ch Insp Vo.

"The man’s next of kin are aware and are being offered support."
