Christmas donation appeal for care leavers

An appeal has been launched for donations towards Christmas gifts for young people leaving care in Wolverhampton.

The council's Reach Leaving Care team supports more than 400 young people across the city, the local authority said.

Councillor Jacqui Coogan, cabinet member for children, young people and education, said both financial donations and physical gifts would be greatly appreciated by the young people, external.

The appeal has suggested donations of toiletries pens and journals, hats, scarves, charging cables and power banks.
