A group of seven hillwalkers have been rescued after becoming stranded in a dangerous area of Ben Nevis.
Members of Lochaber Mountain rescue team were called out on Thursday afternoon, alongside a Coastguard helicopter.
The mountain rescue team said the group had been preparing for a traverse but had strayed off route.
There was dangerous loose rock above the walkers, so the decision was made for a small number of rescue team members to access the group from below.
They were moved to a safer position where they could then be reached from above and moved safely up to the summit and to safety.
The 12-hour operation continued through the night, ending at 05:00 on Friday.
