Rape suspect wanted after failing to attend court

A 30-year-old man accused of raping someone in a park is wanted by police after failing to attend court.
Shane Phillips was charged with one count of rape after an incident in Hamilton Park, Taunton, on 6 December 2023, Avon and Somerset Police said.
The force said a warrant was issued for Mr Phillip's arrest after he failed to appear at Taunton Magistrates' Court for his first appearance on 24 July.
Police officers are urging anyone who sees Mr Phillips to get in touch. He is described as "white, about 5ft 10ins, with brown hair and a beard" and reportedly has links to Suffolk, Norfolk, Devon and Cornwall.
