E-scooter rider seriously injured in van crash

The crash happened at the junction of Heapham Road and Pasture Road in Gainsborough

A 32-year-old-man has been seriously injured in a crash involving his electric scooter and a van in Gainsborough.

Emergency services were called to Heapham Road at its junction with Pasture Road, at about 16:35 BST on Wednesday, Lincolnshire Police said.

The e-scooter and the Ford Transit van had been travelling in the same direction along Heapham Road shortly before the crash happened, the force added.

Police want to hear from any witnesses, or anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage of either vehicle in the area before the incident.
