A man has been jailed for three years for fatally punching a person during a row in Stoke-on-Trent.

Neil Gaskell, 55, suffered a serious head injury in the altercation on Millrise Road, Milton, on 7 May 2023.

Staffordshire Police said despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died in hospital on 23 May.

Wilson Pereira, 19, of Bentilee, Stoke-on-Trent, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on 2 October.
