A car park in a Derbyshire village will be partially closed as water infrastructure works are being carried out, a district council has said.

Severn Trent will use part of the Old Station Close site as a compound while they undertake essential works to renew waste water mains in Rowsley.

Derbyshire Dales District Council said Severn Trent would begin work on January 6 and last for six weeks.

The rest of the car park will be open as normal, the council confirmed.

Severn Trent recently used their statutory powers in a similar way to request full closure of our Matlock Lido car park, which has now reopened.
