An 11-year-old girl who was invited to sing on stage with her idol said the experience was "mind-blowing".

Isabella, from Comberton, joined Jessie Ware on stage on Friday at the Cambridge Club Festival held at Childerley Orchard.

After noticing Isabella in the front row of the crowd, the singer called her on stage and said she was "a bit of a star".

Isabella said: "I never in a million years thought it would happen, she is just so sweet... I listen to her all the time."

"She made me feel really comfortable. It was a connection when we looked into each other's eyes, I was like, 'I'm just going to sing, what have I got to lose'."

Although she felt nervous, Isabella said Jessie Ware made her feel comfortable

"It really boosted my self esteem that people actually thought I was good and people were proud of me."

In a video captured by Isabella's parents, Ware noticed the girl in the crowd before inviting her up on stage to sing the second verse of her single, Say You Love Me.

On stage, Ware said: "You're a bit of a star... oh my God, you're an absolute angel.

"You did amazingly, thank you so much for singing my song."

Isabella, who has seen the singer live before, said she enjoyed the singer's lyrics and upbeat style of songs.

She said: "Thank you so much Jessie for giving me this incredible opportunity, this has been so incredible for me."
