An Italian restaurant where police found suspected class A drugs is due to have its licence reviewed this week.

A “significant quantity” of drugs was found at Puccinis in Shirley Road, Southampton, on 3 May, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.

A 29-year-old woman and five men, aged between 18 and 44, were arrested. They were later bailed until 3 August.

Southampton City Council’s licensing sub-committee will be presented with a report into the restaurant's premises licence at a meeting on Wednesday.

Puccinis and Southampton City Council have been contacted for comment.
