Man arrested by armed officers after 'gun' incident

Armed police descended onto Radstock in Somerset

A man in his 50s has been arrested by armed police on suspicion of possessing a gun, police have said.
Officers, supported by a police helicopter, were called to reports of a man with a suspected firearm on Stanley Terrace in Radstock, Somerset.
Two suspected air rifles were seized during the incident at 9:38 BST on Thursday.
The man remains in police custody while enquiries continue, Avon and Somerset Police said. Officers have urged anyone with relevant information to contact them.
