Man jailed for historical sexual offences

A man has been jailed for 28 years for historical sexual abuse after several victims came forward.
Detectives said Paul Whitehouse, from Darlaston in the West Midlands, was subject to an allegation of child sexual abuse dating back to 2008.
After the first victim came forward, another four spoke to police, West Midlands Police said.
Whitehouse was convicted of nine offences, including attempted rape and a string of sexual assaults on children, at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The 56-year-old from All Saints Road was arrested in February 2019, and following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court, he was found guilty in May and jailed on 22 July.
Det Ch Mike Smith from the force's public protection unit, said: "These five victims bravely came forward to speak with officers and I hope that it will encourage other sexual abuse survivors to do the same."
