A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a car in Staffordshire.

The 31-year-old from Tamworth died at the scene of the crash on Eastern Way, Cannock, near the Churchbridge roundabouts at about 12:40 GMT on Sunday.

Three ambulances and an air ambulance were sent to the scene of the crash and found the man in a critical condition, the ambulance service said.

The car driver was not hurt, the service added.

Staffordshire Police said the collision involved a silver Volkswagen Up and a Yamaha motorbike.

The force said the car driver stayed at the scene and has been helping with police enquiries.

It has appealed for witnesses and those with CCTV and dashcam footage to contact them.
