Police given more time to question murder suspects
- Published
Police have been granted more time to hold two women suspected of murdering a man found in a car in Helston.
Devon and Cornwall Police said magistrates in Bodmin had allowed them to detain the women in custody for a further 36 hours.
They said officers found the body of the man in his 60s from the Avon and Somerset area in a car at Helston Business Park during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The women aged in their 50s and 80s, also from Avon and Somerset, were arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder, concealing a death and preventing a lawful burial.
'Isolated incident'
Police said they believe it to have been "an isolated incident" in which the parties knew each other, meaning there was no wider risk to the public.
They advised the public there would be an increased police presence in the business park as the investigation continued.
The force asked anyone with related information to come forward.
