Royal visit prompts Sark ferry timetable change
- Published
Changes have been made to ferry timetables for services between Guernsey and Sark during a royal visit in July.
The Isle of Sark Shipping Company has amended its schedule on 16 July to ensure people in the island can "enjoy and join in with the visit" of King Charles III and Queen Camilla to Guernsey.
The firm has pushed back times for four afternoon sailings by an hour, with departures from Guernsey at 16:30 and 18:10 BST, while boats will leave Sark at 17:20 and 19:00.
"We hope this adjustment will provide ample opportunity for everyone to participate in the royal visit and make it a memorable experience for all," the firm said.
The King's visit will be his first to the bailiwick since 2012 and will happen a day after he and Queen Camilla visit Jersey.
Public holidays have been announced in Guernsey and Alderney for the royal visit.
