A 30-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a nightclub shooting in Wednesbury last year.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was dropped off at Walsall Manor Hospital with a gunshot wound at about 04:00 BST on 13 August.

The shooting happened in MJ's Bar on Bridge Street, which later had its licence revoked by Sandwell Council.

The man, who is from Birmingham, was also charged by West Midlands Police with possession of a firearm.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court in August.
